Wind Chill to Fall below Minus 20 C in Seoul; Cold Snap to Persist through Sunday

Temperatures are set to drop sharply on Monday under sunny skies nationwide.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning lows on Tuesday are expected to range between minus 17 and minus two degrees Celsius, up to 13 degrees lower than Monday’s.

Daytime highs Tuesday are likely to rise to between minus four and plus six degrees, also three to four degrees lower.

The wind chill in Seoul is projected to plunge to below minus 20 degrees by Wednesday, as the cold snap persists through Sunday.

A significant amount of snow is in the forecast for the southwestern Jeolla region and the southern Jeju Island on Wednesday.
