A delegation from the U.S.-based Korean Chamber of Commerce (KOCHAM) has reportedly produced positive results after talks with U.S. officials aimed at improving business conditions for Korean companies stationed in the United States.

An official with the group said Wednesday that KOCHAM Chairman Seok Yeon-ho had sat down with U.S. government officials during a recent trip to Washington to ask for their support in overcoming the difficulties confronted by Korean firms doing business on American soil.

The KOCHAM official quoted a U.S. Commerce Department official as saying that if South Korea were to raise the discussed matter at a bilateral trade coordination meeting slated for November in Seoul, the U.S. would consider including the topic on the meeting's official agenda.
