Snow is forecast for most parts of the nation through Saturday.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on Friday, the Jeolla provinces and Ulleung Island are set to see up to seven centimeters of snow through Saturday while Jeju's mountainous areas will witness up to five centimeters of snow. 

One to three centimeters of snow is expected for the remaining regions.

Morning lows will range between minus 18 and zero degrees Celsius, similar or slightly higher than Friday.

Afternoon highs will hover between minus five to six degrees, similar to Friday. 

Though the cold snap that had gripped the nation peaked on Thursday, the nation will continue to see freezing weather until next week. 

The third-highest "caution" on the four-tier national wildfire disaster warning system is in place for the entire nation as strong gusts continue to blow amid dry weather.
