Figure skater Cha Jun-hwan has finished second at the International Skating Union Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, posting his season-best score and signaling strong prospects for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics.

Cha earned 273-point-62 points at the championships in Beijing on Sunday, ending up only zero-point-11 point behind Japan's Kao Miura.

After a No. 6 finish in Saturday’s short program with 88-point-89 points, Cha delivered a clean free skate to secure 273-point-62 points for second place on Sunday.

Both the free skate and the total scores marked his best of the season.

Cha won the championship for the first time in 2022 and has since achieved back-to-back silver medals. This is his third consecutive year making the podium.
