The tech-heavy KOSDAQ crossed one-thousand points shortly after the bell on Monday. 

The index opened up one percent from last Friday at one-thousand-three points and has continued to trade above one-thousand since.

If it closes above one-thousand at the end of Monday’s session, the KOSDAQ will have entered four digits for the first time in approximately four years.

The last time the index finished above one-thousand was on January 5, 2022, when it closed at one-thousand-nine-point-62 points.

Meanwhile, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index also surpassed five-thousand points shortly after the opening bell, and interest is growing in whether it can maintain that momentum through market close.
