West Coast to See Snow or Rain Overnight; Cold Snap to Continue This Week

Areas along the nation’s west coast are set to see snow or rain overnight on Monday. 

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, one to three centimeters of snow is forecast for Gwangju and the western coastal regions of the Jeolla provinces on Tuesday. 

Up to five centimeters of snow is expected in Jeju Island’s mountainous areas. 

The nation will see sunny skies, with strong winds expected in most regions. 

Morning lows will stand between minus 14 and zero degrees Celsius, including minus eight degrees in Seoul. 

Afternoon highs will range from minus four to eight degrees, including minus two in Seoul. 

The cold snap is set to maintain its grip on the nation through this week, with morning lows expected to stand around minus ten degrees.
