President Lee Jae Myung will dispatch presidential envoys to Honduras to help strengthen bilateral ties as the country's new government takes office.

Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu‑jung said in a written briefing Sunday that Democratic Party lawmakers Boo Seung‑chan and Lee Hoon‑gi will visit Honduras from Tuesday to Thursday as special envoys.

Kang said the envoys will pay a courtesy call on Honduras' newly inaugurated president to outline the Lee administration's governing philosophy and foreign policy.

They will also deliver a personal letter from Lee conveying his commitment to advancing relations with the new government.

The spokesperson added that the envoys will meet the speaker of the Honduran National Congress and other senior officials to underscore Seoul's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and to hold in‑depth discussions on expanding cooperation across various fields.
