“Golden,” from the Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters,” made history again at the 68th Grammy Awards with a landmark win for K-pop.

“Golden" won best song written for visual media at this year's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, marking the first time that a K-pop song has won a Grammy.

The award went to the track's songwriters, including EJAE; Park Hong-jun, known as Teddy; and 24.

Riding the success of the film, “Golden” became the first K-pop track to top both the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. Official Singles Top 100.

The award for best pop duo/group performance, for which “Golden,” BLACKPINK member Rosé’s “APT.” and KATSEYE’s “Gabriela” had been nominated, went to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for “Defying Gravity."
