Jennie, Lee Chan-hyuk Each Earn 5 Nominations at Korean Music Awards

Jennie, of the K-pop girl group Blackpink, and singer-songwriter Lee Chan-hyuk have both secured five nominations for the 23rd Korean Music Awards, including the highest honors. 

The event's selection committee announced on Thursday the list of nominees. 

Jennie was nominated for "Musician of the Year" and her hit song "like JENNIE" was nominated for "Song of the Year" and "Best K-pop Song." Her debut solo album "Ruby" was nominated for "Album of the Year" and "Best K-pop Album."

Lee Chan-hyuk was also nominated for "Musician of the Year," with his song "Endangered Love" vying for "Song of the Year" and "Best K-pop Song." His album "EROS" was nominated for "Album of the Year" and "Best K-pop Album."

The Korean Music Awards, one of South Korea's most prestigious annual music ceremonies, will be aired live on February 26 via YouTube and Melon.
