Freezing Temperatures Expected from Thurs. Night

The mercury will drop sharply from Thursday night with cold air blowing in from the north. 

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, a cold snap advisory is set to be issued from 9 p.m. Thursday in the Seoul metro area, South Chungcheong Province and parts of Gangwon Province. 

Gangwon's mountainous areas, the east coast and parts of the Gyeongsang provinces, where a dry weather advisory is in place, will continue to see arid weather. 

Morning lows will range between minus 12 and two degrees Celsius on Friday nationwide, or five to ten degrees lower than Thursday's. The mercury in Seoul will drop to minus eight degrees Celsius on Friday morning

Afternoon highs will range between minus five and nine degrees nationwide, down nine to 14 degrees from Thursday's. The daytime temperature in Seoul is expected to peak at around minus three degrees.
