Rim Jong-un captured a bronze medal in men’s one-thousand-meter short track speed skating at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

Rim crossed the finish line of the final race in third place on Thursday at Milano Ice Skating Arena in Italy.

The medal marked the fourth overall for South Korea and the country’s first in short track speed skating at the Games.

Running in last place among the five skaters until just before the final lap, Rim mounted a late charge and lunged at the line to finish third behind Jens van 't Wout of the Netherlands and Sun Long of China.
