Roh-Singh Summit to be Held Tuesday

President Roh Moo-hyun will meet with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for summit talks in New Delhi Tuesday and discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Roh is expected to ask for India's cooperation so that South Korean firms can actively take part in oil field development projects and the construction of a steel plant as well as roads and dams in India.
Roh is also expected to make a proposal to combine South Korea's information technology with India's computer software technology for their joint advancement into third countries.
After the summit meeting, the two leaders will sign a joint statement on boosting cooperation in economic cooperation and in seeking a peaceful resolution to North Korea's nuclear standoff.
During Roh's three-day stay in India, the two countries are also expected to sign an extradition treaty and an accord allowing multiple visas for businesspeople.
