President Lee Jae Myung has vowed to press ahead with efforts to build the country people aspire to.

In a Lunar New Year video message released Tuesday, Lee pledged to become a president for all citizens and serve everyone without division.

Wearing the traditional Korean attire, hanbok, he delivered his New Year’s greetings alongside first lady Kim Hea Kyung.

The president expressed gratitude to the people, saying the nation is getting back on track faster than expected thanks to their efforts over the past year.

He added that he hopes society will move forward this year on the basis of trust and warm solidarity.

The video also featured New Year’s greetings from guards stationed on the Dokdo islets in the East Sea, members of the national Paralympic team, and South Koreans living abroad.
