South Korea’s Lee Hae-in finished in the top ten in the short program in women's figure skating at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.

Lee scored a season-best 70-point-07 points on Tuesday to finish ninth among 29 competitors at Milan Ice Skating Arena.

The top 24, including Lee, have qualified for the free skate and will vie for a medal beginning at 3 a.m. on Friday, Korea time.

Fellow South Korean skater Shin Ji-a scored 65-point-66 points to finish 14th, also qualifying for the free skate.

In women’s curling, South Korea fell 7-5 to world No. 1 Switzerland after a closely contested match.

The curling team, which is currently tied for fourth place after seven round robin matches, must win its two remaining contests against Sweden and Canada to secure a semifinal berth.

As of Tuesday, South Korea ranked 16th in the medal standings with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
