“APT.,” the megahit by Rosé of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK and American musician Bruno Mars, has been named the world’s biggest-selling hit of 2025.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry(IFPI) announced on Thursday that “APT.” had ranked No. 1 on its Global Single Chart for last year.

The organization said it was the first time an artist from outside North America or Europe had topped the IFPI Global Single Chart and also the first time a song with non-English lyrics had reached No. 1.

“Golden” from the Netflix animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” placed second on the chart, with another track from the same film, “Soda Pop,” ranking 13th.

The IFPI Global Single Chart collects data from eight-thousand record companies worldwide, measuring streams, downloads and physical sales across countries to determine the most popular songs globally.
