Short Track Skater Kim Gil-li Wins Gold in Women's 1,500 Meters

Kim Gil-li has grabbed a gold medal in the women's 15-hundred-meter short track speed skating at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Kim crossed the finish line of the final race in first place on Saturday, Korea time, at Milano Ice Skating Arena in Italy with a score of two minutes and 32-point-076 seconds. 

With the gold, Kim has secured three medals in the Winter Games, including another gold medal in the women's  three-thousand-meter relay and a bronze medal in the women's one-thousand-meter short track speed skating event.

Fellow skater Choi Min-jeong took the silver in the 15-hundred meter event, grabbing her seventh Olympic medal to become the South Korean athlete with the most Olympic medals.
