Harold Rogers, interim CEO of e-commerce giant Coupang, attended a closed-door session of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee on Monday as an investigation into the company's massive data breach last year continues.

Rogers testified for about seven hours at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington.

After the session, Rogers left without answering reporters’ questions about the inquiry.

Earlier this month, Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and subcommittee Chairman Scott Fitzgerald subpoenaed Rogers, criticizing the South Korean government’s "discriminatory" treatment of U.S. firms.

The hearing came as the Trump administration considers alternative tariff tools, including Section 301 of the Trade Act, after the Supreme Court struck down most of Trump’s levies, raising speculation that the testimony could be used in future trade actions.
