A government panel working to reform the nation's judiciary branch has decided to introduce a U.S.-style law school system in 2008 in order to better foster legal professionals.

The new schools, if established as planned, will see their first graduates in 2011, as the curricula is to consist of at least six semesters.

Graduates will still have to pass an exam to legally practice law but the panel said the exam will "not be too difficult" for those who completed the school program.

Meanwhile, the existing 40 year-old bar exam will be repealed after 2012.
