A fleet of cargo planes is heading to Kuwait to support transportation operations of South Korea’s Zaitun unit stationed in Iraq.

Air Force officials said that the transportation unit, comprising 150 crew members and maintenance workers as well as four C-130 cargo planes, left Seoul Airport on Monday. The officials said the unit will be deployed to a U.S. Air Force base in Kuwait.

The 58th Air Force transportation unit was established late last month and has received acclimatization training on the culture and politics of the Middle East.
