The government plans to take follow-up measures to reflect in domestic policies the results of President Roh Moo-hyun's diplomatic achievements from his visits to Russia, Kazakhstan, India and Vietnam.

During a news briefing on Wednesday, presidential spokesman Kim Jong-min said that it would be a major task for the government to study and analyze the results of the president's recent diplomatic efforts and to come up with follow-up measures to reflect them in local policy.

In particular, Kim said that the government would focus on energy, which was a major issue at Roh's summit meetings.

During his state visit to Vietnam, Roh promised to make active efforts to provide a solid financial foundation for South Korean firms so as to allow them to advance into the Vietnamese market and launch new businesses.
