A local nuclear fuel company has developed a brand of highly-improved nuclear fuel.
The Korea Nuclear Fuel Co. said it developed the fuel called ACE7TM after three years of research and investment of some 22 billion won or some 19 million U.S. dollars.
The company says the upgraded version of nuclear fuel will be used on a trial-basis at a local nuclear power plant from early next year.
The latest high-performance nuclear fuel has been evaluated to be superior to current fuel in combustion, reliability and safety.
