Hacking Soars 10-fold in 3 Yrs

Computer hacking cases have reportedly increased by some ten-fold over the past three years in South Korea.

According to reports submitted to the National Assembly by the Korea Information Security Agency for the ongoing parliamentary audit session, more than 26 thousand cyber hacking incidents were recorded last year - a ten-fold increase from 2000. This year alone as of July, some 13 thousand cases have been reported.

By country of origin of hacking attacks last year, China topped the list with some six hundred-30 cases, followed by the U.S., Taiwan and the Netherlands.
