Gov't to Announce Education Reform Blueprint in Dec.

The Ministry of Education plans to release a comprehensive education plan next month aimed at reducing private education costs, normalizing elementary and middle school programs and reforming university education.

During a news conference on Monday, Minister of Education and Human Resources Development Ahn Byung-young said his Ministry would present an educational vision combining its future strategies with educational reform agendas by the end of December.

Ahn said that the general blueprint would include specific ways to promote educational equality, lessen the burden of private education costs, and implement restructuring of colleges and universities.
