A group of European doctors has proven that ginseng strengthens the body's immune system.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) office in Copenhagen announced Sunday that a medical research team of the Danish National Hospital had found after four years of research that ginseng strengthens the human immune system and works to prevent infection. The trade agency was quoting Danish newspaper Politiken and Berlingsek.
An official of the trade agency said that it was the first time for a scientific study to prove the effects of ginseng, despite the previous widespread acknowledgement of ginseng’s salutary benefits.
Last year, South Korea exported 2.23 billion U.S. dollars worth of ginseng the entire continent of Europe.
