A South Korean ship will take part in a project to transfer commercial supplies between the two Koreas over a sea route. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries said Monday that Yoosung Aggregates Incorporated, a Busan-based freight company, would dispatch one of its cargo ships, Samil 505, on the Busan-Heungnam route. Samil 505, which left port Monday, will operate seven times along the sea route every month and will transfer sea sand collected from Hamheung Bay in the North to Busan, Donghae and Gwangyang. Formerly, commercial goods had been transported by foreign ships, including those from Panama, on the sea route between South and North Korea.
