A South Korean movie, "The President's Barber", has won the director’s award at the 17th Tokyo International Film Festival, which wrapped up on Monday in Japan. The film, which was directed by Im Chan-sang, is a story about an ordinary man who becomes the President's private barber. The Tokyo Festival, the most prestigious film festival in Japan, has been in decline from some years and 2004 was intended to mark its comeback. However, the event was adversely affected by a major earthquake which rocked the Niigata Prefecture last week.
