Two Korean-Americans have won seats in U.S. state legislatures.

Oregon State Senator John Lim was elected to that state's House of Representatives by beating Democrat opponent Jim Buck.

Wednesday's win has marked the fourth time for Lim to be elected to the Oregon legislature.

Meanwhile, former lawyer Sylvia Luke was elected to Hawaii's state House for a fourth term in a landslide victory.
