Uri Party Welcomes Bush’s Reelection, Expresses Hope

The ruling Uri Party has expressed hope that South Korea-U.S. ties will further develop following the reelection of U.S. President George W. Bush.

During a meeting on Thursday, Uri Party floor leader Chun Jung-bae welcomed Bush's reelection, vowing that his party would do its utmost to maintain and improve the bilateral alliance.

Earlier in the day, ruling party lawmaker Jang Young-dal also said in a forum that with Bush's election victory, Washington is expected to maintain its policies toward the two Koreas.
