Six crew members of a South Korean cargo ship died with one missing after the vessel crashed into a breakwater in Ishikari, Hokkaido in northern Japan Saturday morning. The Seoul Foreign Ministry said the 5,500 ton cargo ship 'Marine Osaka' was pushed into the breakwater by strong winds and high waves. According to Japanese Coast Guard officials, 16 were on board at the time of the incident - eight South Koreans and eight Myanmarese. Eight of them were rescued from the water and seven from a ladder on the ship's cabin. However, four crew members were announced dead shortly after they were escorted to hospitals on rescue helicopters, while two more died receiving treatment. Japanese rescue officials are searching for the one missing crewman. A Seoul official says it's highly likely that a South Korean is included in the death toll, as the identities of the dead have yet to be revealed.
