Top legislators of the ruling Uri Party will make a six-day trip to China next week to discuss bilateral cooperation and North Korea's nuclear issue.

Party officials said Monday that the delegation, including party Chairman Lee Bu-young, will travel to the cities of Shanghai and Xian beginning next Thursday to inspect a free trade zone and a development project for the western regions of China.

The delegation is also set to meet President Hu Jintao and exchange views on ways to secure peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The delegation further plans to sign a cooperation accord with the Chinese Communist Party.
