The government has announced plans to dispatch industrial delegations to Russia and Kazakhstan for one month starting this week.

The plan is part of follow-up measures of President Roh's visit to the two countries in September.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy said Wednesday that the delegations will discuss possible exports of industrial plants to the two countries and explore ways to expand investment in the region.

The industrial teams will also aim to promote cooperation between small- and medium-sized firms as well as the industrial and technology sectors of the two countries.

The ministry said the delegations will be organized by the Korea Plant Industries Association, with 45 firms to take part in the effort.
