Two Koreas Set to Survey Land for Reunion Center

South and North Korea agreed Saturday to conduct a joint land survey next month for the construction of a permanent reunion center for separated families at the North's Mt. Geumgang.

During a third day of working-level talks in the mountain resort, Red Cross officials of the two sides agreed to conduct the survey from December 10, using the North’s manpower and equipment, with South Korean experts attending.

If land and geological survey is conducted as scheduled, actual construction work will likely begin early next year.
