North Korea has decided to include its eastern coast city of Wonsan into the special tourism zone of Mount Geumgang.

The Heilongjiang Korean, a Korean language broadcaster in China, said many companies in Jilin Province are seeking to invest in the zone following the Pyongyang government’s move to include Tongchon and Wonsan into the special tourism zone.

Hyundai Asan, a South Korean company which has exclusive rights to develop the area for tourism, said it has been consulting with the North on include Wonsan city in the zone.
