The government will simplify the administrative procedures for South Korean applicants who wish to visit the Gaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea.

The Unification Ministry said Sunday it would seek a revision of a special law on the approval and procedures for visits related to inter-Korean business in the North’s industrial complex.

According to the proposed revision, the time for issuing an approval for a visit to North Korea will be shortened from the current 10 days to five.
