Kitchen pots fresh from a Gaesong Industrial Park assembly line in North Korea have been successfully sold in Seoul.

The Lotte Department Store in Seoul said Wednesday that it had sold 480 out of one-thousand sets of the stainless kitchen pots in just three hours. Livingart, the South Korean manufacturer of the goods, had churned out the pots earlier in the day, becoming the first company to launch production operations at the North Korean industrial site.

The price of the featured pot set at Lotte was half that of comparable Livingart sets produced and sold in South Korea.

The pots were delivered to Seoul from Gaesong on Wednesday afternoon via a cross-border land route.
