North Korea’s official Rodong Shinmun newspaper challenged the United States to provide objective evidence on its allegations that North Korea harbors a nuclear program based on highly-enriched uranium.

The paper accused the United States of promoting ungrounded and false information and that Washington has been unable to refute statements by North Korean expert Selig Harrison, who said the White House is distorting the danger posed by the North’s alleged nuclear activities.

In a January issue of Foreign Affairs, Harrison had said that the Bush administration presented a worst-case scenario as an "incontrovertible truth”by relying on sketchy information.
