South and North Korea will likely resume talks on the installation of communication lines linking Seoul with the Gaesong Industrial Complex in the North.

A Unification Ministry official said Tuesday officials from Korea Telecom, the nation's largest telecommunications carrier, and Pyongyang authorities will probably resume the talks Wednesday or Thursday in the North’s border city of Gaesong.

Korea Telecom is asking the North to lower its telephone charges to 50 cents per-minute from the current dollar per-minute for calls to the complex.

During the talks, officials are also expected to discuss on-the-spot inspections and designs related to power supply for the industrial park.
