Pyongyang Post Offices Provide E-Mail Service

North Korea has reportedly begun e-mail services at post offices in Pyongyang.

Pyongyang-based Korean Central Television on Tuesday aired images of a post office employee entering a message on a computer that was supposedly intended to be sent to the recipient via e-mail.

Users of the e-mail service can only send and receive e-mail through employees at the post office.

Although there have been reports that Pyongyang citizens have access to e-mail at Internet cafes, this is the first time that a media report confirmed the existence of post office-based e-mail services in North Korea.
