North Korean officials are reportedly scheduled to take courses on multilateral diplomacy and market economy this fall in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to the Geneva-based Center for Applied Studies in International Negotiations or CASIN, the six-week program financed by the Swiss government will educate incumbent Pyongyang officials on contemporary matters dealing with global economy and foreign affairs.
The non-profit CASIN has been in charge of the annual short-term professional program for North Korean officials since 1997.
Last year's program, focusing on the basics of market economy, international trade and economic reform, was said to be a departure from previous programs that mainly dealt with multilateral diplomacy and building partnerships for development.
