North Korean Prime Minister Pak Pong-ju has denounced Washington for heightening pressure against Pyongyang with its "hostile" policy.

The North's Korean Central Broadcasting Station quoted Pak as saying in a public speech Wednesday that the United States has no intention of coexisting with the North and is pursuing hostile policies aimed at toppling the North Korean government.

According to the report, Pak accused Washington of disguising its hostile intentions while claiming to cooperate through dialogue and negotiation.

Pak delivered the speech at a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the North's military-first policy.
