Gov’t Streamlines inter-Korean Transportation

The government has streamlined procedures for trucks, ships, and aircraft transporting equipment between the two Koreas.

Under the government's revised bill on the application and standard of approving inter-Korean transportation, the period of time needed to get approval has been reduced from one month to seven days. The effective approval period will also be extended from one year to two years for all transport vehicles that regularly operate between the two Koreas.

After completing their delivery, transporters are required to inform the government of their activities within seven days.
