The US government says Washington will closely cooperate with South Korea in dealing with the North Korean nuclear issue.

Following President Roh Moo-hyun's speech to mark his administration's second anniversary Friday, an official of the US State Department said his government is sharing concerns over the issue with the Seoul government. He added Washington will join hands with Seoul to resolve the nuclear dispute on the Korean Peninsula.
