A Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry official said a U.S. congressional delegation led by Representative Richard Gephardt, leader of the minority Democratic Party, will visit Seoul Thursday to discuss the Korean situation with top South Korean officials.

During their three-day visit, the 10-member delegation will meet with President Kim Dae-jung and Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Lee Joung-binn.

The delegation's visit to Seoul is part of their tour of Asian nations, which also include Vietnam and Cambodia.
