The opening ceremony for a South Korean medical clinic at the Gaesong Industrial Complex may be taking place in late April after two previous cancellations of the event by Pyongyang.

The YMCA Green Doctors, a South Korean volunteer medical group, says it is holding discussions with North Korean officials to decide a specific date for the event through a management committee of the industrial park.

In the discussions, the two sides reportedly reached a tentative agreement to hold the opening ceremony toward late April.

The clinic in the industrial complex already opened in January, but an official opening ceremony has yet to take place.

It has treated some 600 South and North Korean workers at the Gaesong Complex since its opening.

The YMCA Green Doctors says the hospital will be in full operation by September with some ten full-time medical staff, including two doctors, a pharmacist and nurses.
