UK Group to Unveil List of 600 Missing NK Prisoners

A British human rights group will disclose a list of some 600 North Koreans who it claims have gone missing since being taken to prison camps in the Stalinist country.

Christian Solidarity Worldwide will present the list at the United Nations Human Rights Commission meeting Thursday, along with videotape of alleged public executions in the North.

The group said two North Korean defectors who escaped from a prison in Yodeok, South Hamgyeong Province, will testify on the conditions at the North's concentration camps.

Senior foreign officials are also expected to speak of improving the human rights situation in the North.

CSW Director Stuart Windsor said an estimated 100,000 are imprisoned in North Korea's political prison camps.
