North Korean Premier Park Bong-joo has wrapped up his six-day visit to China, returning to Pyongyang.

China's official Xinhua news agency said Monday that Park visited Shenyang in Laoning Province and praised the results of Chinese modernization efforts. He also expressed hope that bilateral relations will improve in the future.

His visit initially drew speculation over whether it would help efforts to lure the North back to the stalled six-party nuclear talks.

However, experts say the trip mainly focused on boosting economic cooperation and improving friendly relations between the two countries.
