N.Korea to Japan: Stay Out of Nuke Talks

Written: 2005-04-04 15:14:47Updated: 0000-00-00 00:00:00

North Korea's state-run newspaper says it would be better for Japan to stay away from the six-way nuclear talks, arguing that Tokyo's participation may only complicate matters.

The Stalinist state's Rodong Sinmun said Monday that it was not in Japan's place to comment on Pyongyang's nuclear standoff. The paper said that Tokyo should remain an observer and refrain from talking about dialogue or measures to resolve the nuclear issue.

The paper also said that Japan, a 'blind follower of the U.S.', was not qualified to take part in the six-party talks to begin with, and that its participation in the dialogue would only create chaos.
