For the first time, South Korean goods for inter-Korean economic cooperation will be transported to North Korea by land.

Andong Hemp Textile Co. on Friday will deliver 36 sewing machines in 20 trucks to a factory in Pyongyang through the Bongdong Station in Gaeseong.

The company will also finish building a joint venture plant in Pyongyang in June.

A government official said this is the first time for goods for inter-Korean economic cooperation and not for relief efforts, to go to the North by land since the reconnection of the Gyeongui Railroad.
