Gyeonggi Province and North Korea will jointly engage in a pilot rice farming project on the outskirts of Pyongyang.

A Gyeonggi delegation and the North's Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation on Tuesday agreed on the project in Gaesong.

The province will deliver agricultural equipment and rice seeds to a three-hectare farm of the Agricultural Science Academy in Pyongyang this month, and a technical team in early May.
