Young members of the country's five political parties have proposed an inter-Korean meeting to protest Japan's claim to Dokdo islets and distortion of history.

The members sent an offer to that effect to their counterparts in North Korea.

In a statement, leaders of the parties’youth committees said they agreed that inter-Korean efforts are needed against Japanese provocations and proposed talks to adopt a joint declaration on the matter.
